Formerly Choquer.store — Same Owner, New Name

If you’ve been with us from the start, you might know us as Choquer.store. Same founder, same mission — just a name that better reflects who we’ve become. We’re still a proudly Canadian business based in Surrey, BC, and we still engrave every board by hand, one at a time. The only thing that’s changed is the name — because Northmark speaks more clearly to the meaning behind what we do.

The Story Behind the Grain

Northmark began as a one-man shop in Surrey, BC, with a single laser engraver and a desire to make better gifts.

I wanted to create something that didn’t get thrown away, forgotten, or fade with time. Something that could live in the kitchen — the heart of the home — and be used, admired, and remembered for years.

‍

At first, I made boards for family, then friends, then friends of friends. Every order came with a story: a wedding toast, a first home, a new last name. I realized I wasn’t just engraving wood — I was helping people celebrate life’s biggest (and smallest) moments.

And just like that, Northmark was born.
